This is the Morris Ranch and Cedar grove that Bidwell Party camped at on the 5th of September. There are Red Cedars growing among the Utah Cedars. The Party mentioned the Red Cedars at the last camp. Bidwell wrote: "Sunday, 5th. Grass having become scarce, we concluded to move on a little every day, to meet Capt. B. and H. Traveled about six miles and encamped by a beautiful cedar grove."

James John wrote: "September 5th. Left the camp that we came to on the 27th of August and went about 6 miles and camped in a Cedar grove near a Spring of water and in sight of the Plain which borders on the Salt Lake, Camtain Bartleson and Mr. Hopper has not yet returned."
