This is the home of Newel K. and Elizabeth Ann Whitney. Here they were praying and "they saw a vision as of a cloud of glory resting up their house, and heard a voice from heaven saying: 'Prepare to receive the word of the Lord, for it is coming'" In November 1830, missionaries from New York visited, taught, and baptized them (Joseph Fielding Smith, Church History and Modern Revelation, 2 vols. [1953], 1:175).
