1st Richmond Howitzers, Cabell’s Battalion - Leaving University of Virginia, he enlisted Jun 1863, age 16. His first battle was Gettysburg. Surrendered twice; once with Lee at Appomattox and again with Johnston in North Carolina. Ordained Methodist Minister July 5, 1872. Died of TB in 1874.
