(1828-1907) Gatehouse, Evergreen Cemetery. On July 1st she risked enemy fire to point out roads but soon fled. Upon her return, even though pregnant six months, she helped dig 105 graves. "Three months after [the battle] I had a dear little baby. But it was not very strong from that time on my health failed . . . those hard days have always told on my life."
