(1843-1863) South St. Jennie and her mother worked as seamstresses. On July 1st her sister, Georgia McClellan, needed help with her newborn son, so "Jennie" came over to Georgia’s double-unit house on Baltimore Street. Sniper fire soon became great. On July 3, a bullet passed through two doors killing "Jennie" instantly. Her mother, stunned, said only, "Georgia, your sister is dead."
