(1831-1894) York St. - Town Square. A practicing attorney, he came to prominence as the Pennsylvania Governor’s agent during the aftermath of battle. He was one of the leaders in the creation of the Soldier’s National Cemetery. Lincoln spent the night at his house on November 18, 1863.
