This photograph was taken in 1961 of what I now call the Big Bend. The two men are Phil Marstela on the left and Derle Thorpe on the right looking at the tracks left in the mud some 111 years before. There wasn't any evidence of any modern vehicle tracks on the trail. The trail bends to the northwest at this location.
